Picture the Perfect Diet!

This recent photoshop story of Katie Couric in the CBS magazine "Watch" is worth taking a look at. If dieting were this simple we would all be "picture perfect".

I wonder if this is CBS's way of improving their image. Once again we are left wondering is CBS
news fact or fiction.

Doggies!

Jillian is learning to say "doggie". She really discovered what dogs are when I took her to the humane society here in Frankfort this week. She was so excited when the dogs licked her hands and toes. Now she is loves her stuffed doggie!

Jillian and the birthday cake

Jillian loved the birthday cake! I gave her a whole piece of cake on her high chair tray and she devoured the entire piece. She was such a mess!

Lightning McQueen

The theme for Dylan's birthday party was Lightning McQueen. Ever since he watched the movie "Cars" Lightning McQueen has been his new favorite toy.

Happy 5th Birthday!

On Thursday we celebrated Dylan's 5th birthday as a family. He chose a chocolate truffle cake. Chocolate is his favorite flavor.

Dreaming of Autumn

Last evening I was listening to the crickets and admiring the few leaves that have already changed on the trees. Fall is in the air!

It reminded me of a poem that Bob's mother wrote a few years ago for the magazine "Ideals". I have added the poem below for your enjoyment.

Autumn's Song
Sharon Kirkman Waggoner

Leaves of orange, red, and brown
Falling down;
Indian summer's golden haze,
Autumn days.
Gourds and pumpkins on the ground,
Shocks of corn are scattered round,
Plenteous blessings there abound;
Praises sound.
Cool and crisp the early morn,
Trees are shorn.
V-formations fill the sky;
Geese go by.
Caramel apples, pumpkin pie,
Jugs of cider sitting by,
Jack-o-lantern's winking eye,
Winter's nigh.
Tang of winter's brooding spell
With us dwells.
Thought of seasons coming soon,
Harvest moon,
Piles of leaves and new-mown hay,
Distant shout of child at play.
Quicker comes the end of day-
Autumn stay.

Happy Birthday Dylan!

Happy Birthday Dylan! I can't believe that you are 5 years old today! Time sure flies!

Dylan decided to use his birthday money to buy a trampoline. He was so excited to jump on it for the first time.

Hangin out!

Dylan and Jillian love to play in boxes! They pretend they are pirates on the high sea. Well, Dylan does; Jillian is just along for the ride.
